April Beauty Favourites: Makeup, body & hair care!

April Favourites
I feel like a broken record but where has the month gone! It’s time again for a round up of my monthly favourites and this April I’ve been trying out new beauty products left, right and centre – it’s like I’m having a spring clean! There have been a few stand outs this month, some may be familiar as I’ve already shared my love for them on my Instagram and Twitter accounts but I’ve compiled them all here for you to see. Let’s get to it…

First up is Sigma’s Face Kit, this is a set of five makeup brushes for the face and includes a foundation, concealer, contour, powder and stippling brush. I use these everyday (minus the foundation brush as I’m currently into buffing brushes!) to apply my makeup and adore them. Sigma is a US brand that produces top notch brush sets and individual brushes all with the same great quality – I haven’t had one fibre fall out and the wooden handles feel nice and sturdy. Personally, I prefer synthetic makeup brushes and Sigma always come up trumps. Sigma Face Makeup Brush KitIf you haven’t heard of Tanya Burr‘s lipgloss and nail range where have you been? Her collection has taken the beauty blogging world by storm and there’s so many reviews out there showcasing swatches and the full collection so I won’t go in to too much detail. I recently posted a picture of myself wearing her Picnic In The Park lipgloss (as seen below) on Twitter and it has received 400 favourites and counting – it just goes to show how good these glosses are! I also purchased Champagne Toast which is also a beautiful shade, perfect for those ‘sophisticated’ makeup looks.Tanya Burr LipglossI’ve also been loving Aussie’s Miracle Recharge Take The Heat Conditioning Spray. This bottle turned into an empty at the end of the month so I had to include it in my favourites! I have long, ombre-style hair and find Aussie‘s range of products really beneficial for keeping my hair moisturised and in good condition. They also smell like strawberry bubblegum!Aussie Miracle Recharge
I posted about Barry M’s range of Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints this week (you can read it here) and thought I’d add this bottle in the shade Passion Fruit into the mix as it truly is a gorgeous colour. It makes me feel all summery just looking at it!Nails Inc Gelly Nail PaintEarlier in the month I visited Chilli B Soap Company, a local family-run soap making business around the corner from where I live. They produce the most amazing natural, artisan soaps that will transform the way you view one of beauty’s basics. One of my favourite items from their range is their soap on a rope. I use it in the shower every day and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft. These soaps are so gentle that they can be used on the face too. Chilli B run an open house the first Friday of every month so if you are local to Bournemouth make sure to pay them a visit. You can find out all the details in my Chilli B blog post.Chilli B Soap Company SoapYou all know my affection for lip crayons (read my post about them here) and I added to my collection this month with Bourjois’ Color Boost in the shade 04 Peach On The Beach and Rimmel’s Colour Rush in 600 On Fire. I really can’t get enough of these sticks. They are so easy to apply, the colours are great and the matt shades last all day. I like combining them to make my own shades!Lip Balm PencilsLast but not least is the humble hair doughnut – you can pick these up from your local Boots or Superdrug. You can’t produce a big bun or top knot quicker of easier than with this ring of foam! Place through your ponytail and pin your hair around it for a bun that looks like you’ve spent ages on it! (Shhh don’t tell anyone!) I created a hairstyle using this doughnut in my Pimp Your Plait post a couple of months back. Go check it out!Hair doughnut bunWhat have been your beauty or non-beauty favourites this month? Let me know in the comment box below.

    • Thanks Brianna 🙂 Yes I like to do all my own photography to give it a personal touch. I like your braided crown post, as you can tell from my blog I am a bit of a fan of them! I’m going to do a flower headband tutorial really soon so watch out for that! Sarah
