This weekend has been filled with an exciting mix of fashion, food and shopping – a girl’s perfect weekend right?
Friday night K and I went out with my brother and his girlfriend to a new Brazilian restaurant in Bournemouth called Casa Brasil. This restaurant is a blokes heaven! It’s an ‘all you can eat’ Brazilian style rodizio experience, where a copious amount of meat is spit-roasted over BBQ-style grills and bought to your table a skewer at a time for you to sample (or feast on, depending on your appetite). At the start of the meal, you’re given a card that works like a traffic light system so the waiters know when to come around with the meats. There were 18 different meats to try on Friday night and as you can imagine the boys took full advantage of this selection! From sirloin steak, marinated chicken, sausages to even heart, there’s no way you could leave this restaurant anything but gorged! Along with all the meat we also consumed a large amount of red wine which left me feeling a little worse for wear the following day…
On Saturday, the lovely Louise from Pauper into Princess invited me to join her at Eastleigh’s Enliven Designer-Maker & Fashion Fair. I’m going to be writing a proper blog post about the event but here are a few pictures in the meantime! The event consisted of an arts market and catwalk shows and it was great to see so much talent from the young designers who were exhibiting. We had front row seats so got really close to all the clothes!
Saturday evening K and I had a relaxing night in and made some homemade pizzas. I hadn’t eaten anything all day after the amount of food we ate on Friday night so these pizza hit the spot! We started watching season 2 of Breaking Bad and caught up with Game of Thrones. If you’re a regular reader you may have noticed this has become a regular weekend occurrence – these weekend round-ups may become a little less exciting with the amount of Breaking Bad we are watching!
Today we went on a trip to Ikea in Southampton. Believe it or not this is the first time we have visited Ikea since we bought our house last summer! This was a conscious decision by me as I knew how carried away we would get with all the gorgeous furniture and although I absolutely love Ikea I’m not too keen on the quality of their products so avoided going as I knew I’d be tempted to purchase lots! Now the house is practically complete it was time for us to pay a trip and pick up some little finishing pieces. Again I’m going to be writing a post about our visit and our haul so for now I’m afraid you’ll have to be content with a picture of our shopping basket!
Make sure to check back later in the week when I’ll be revealing more about my trip to Eastleigh’s fashion show and our Ikea haul! I hope you all had a great weekend!
