I’ve eaten my way through two BBQs and watched a fair few World Cup football matches this weekend! I’m not a massive fan of football but enjoy the World Cup and getting into the spirit of things. I realised how little I know about football when I didn’t recognise many of the players on the England team – apart from Adam Lallana who was in my year at school. It’s crazy to see him playing for England now!
On Friday evening I went to a ballet class at The Pavilion Dance centre in Bournemouth. I used to do a lot of dancing when I was younger and studied professionally at drama school but I haven’t stepped foot in a dance studio for a very very long time! This was the second dance class I’ve been to over the past two weeks and it’s been really fun getting back in to it. It’s a way for me to get fit for summer without having to visit the gym! The classes are open to all standards so you don’t feel out of your depth and the dance studios at the The Pavilion are beautiful with huge mirrors and sprung floors. If you’re from the Bournemouth area why not try a dance class too?!
Saturday I hit the shops for a bit of retail therapy. I was looking for some sandals but came home with a little more… I bought a few bits for summer including a spotty sun dress from H&M, some floral waisted shorts and a kimono from New Look, black sunglasses from River Island, a t-shirt from Primark and some beauty bits from Boots. I also bought a ‘Brazil’ t-shirt and a flower headband for a World Cup BBQ party I was going to that evening. It was fancy dress and I chose to go as ‘Brazil’. My attempt was a little feeble compared to everyone else’s!
Sunday was Father’s Day so I spent it with my parents. They invited K and I over for a BBQ. It’s always really hard to buy gifts for my Dad so I opted for some fail safe vegetable plants for the garden! Mum baked a pavlova for dessert and it was so yummy!
I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the football!
