Our personalised house portrait from Letterfest

There’s no This Little House post today I’m afraid folks as I haven’t had the time to put it together. Instead I thought I’d show you a personalised portrait of our house that I bought from Not On the Highstreet. Oh my gosh, I adore this website, it’s full of the most unique home decor pieces, gifts, art, you name it, and I had my eye on getting one of these house portraits done before I even moved in to our house over a year ago.

The picture is from a company called Letterfest who make personalised handmade gifts – make sure to check out their website for everything from illustrations to stationery. For a private commission of something like this you’d be looking at paying around the £100 mark but this house portrait only cost me £40! It is hand drawn then coloured in on the computer but if you have a little more to spend then you can opt for a pencil sketch, a detailed black and white print or even an embroidered image of your house. I bought the print unframed and picked up a cheap white box frame from Ikea to put it in, but there’s also the option of having it framed if you desire. The picture comes with your house number and road name printed in the bottom right corner but I’ve Photoshopped this out for obvious reasons!

This picture is going to be part of a collage of frames on our bedroom chimney breast. I’ll be sure to show you the completed wall in my This Little House series! All I need now is my Dad to come round to put the pictures up!
