Weekend edit #15

This weekend sure has been busy, but boy it’s been a good’un! On Friday my family and I drove up to St Albans for the wedding of my cousin Daniel and his new wife Helen. It was the most gorgeous day, with the ceremony taking place in St Albans Cathedral and the reception at nearby St Michael’s Manor Hotel. The food was probably the best I’ve ever had at a wedding and I loved their fish bowl table settings. We also had a lot of fun in their wedding photo booth! The hotel was booked out exclusively for the wedding so we stayed overnight in one of the stunning rooms and all had breakfast together the following morning in the hotel conservatory.

On Saturday morning K and I headed into London for the Bloggers Festival hosted by Scarlett London. I had some time to kill before the event started so we went for a bite to eat at GBK. Feeling a little worse for wear after the night before I opted for a ‘naked’ burger with lots of veggies! K visited a friend while I attended the event at Paramount Bar but I won’t reveal too much about it now because I want to dedicate a blog post to it later in the week. It was such a fab event and I got to meet some lovely bloggers and some great brands! I came home laden with goody bags which I had fun delving though when we got back to Bournemouth that evening.

Today we had a much needed lie in and a lazy morning after all the excitement of Friday and Saturday. This afternoon we visited K’s family, went to see my brother’s new flat and helped him do some decorating. It really was an awesome weekend and I only have a week left at work before K and I go on holiday! Counting down until Friday already…
