2015, a new chapter…

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet over the past two months, things got a little bit hectic… well a lot hectic, and this meant I had to cut down on the time spent on my blog. This proved very hard for me but now I’m back and ready to hit 2015 running!

So why so quiet?

Well firstly I got an exciting new job! This meant two rounds of interviews and lots of preparation. I can admit it now but I’d become increasingly unhappy in my job and if there’s one thing I’ve learnt from my twenties it’s that when these situations arise there’s no point moping around, just take that leap and make the changes necessary – there’s no space in our lives for things that make us miserable. Changing jobs can be scary but I’m now super excited to start 2015 afresh! I’m going back into PR to start a new adventure.

Then in November my car broke down, shortly followed by my house going through some rather invasive building work which meant many nights/weeks spent at my parents, with the kindness of friends and family ferrying me around the place. However I’m now back in our little house and I have a shiny new (new to me!) Mini Clubman ready to be picked up this week. Excited is an understatement – look how pretty she is!

Finally, and most importantly, I got engaged!!! Yep, K popped the question at the beginning of Christmas and the past two weeks have been a flurry of excitement and wedding chatter. Being a military man, the Christmas break is the longest time we get to spend together so we cherished our time and blogging took a back seat – replaced by Pinterest wedding inspiration!

I'm engaged!

So, new year, new job, new car, new fiancé! I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store for both me and this here blog!

something new

Happy new year to all my readers. I hope all your dreams come true in 2015, and remember, make those changes and take those risks to make this year the best year yet!
