From blank canvas to gallery walls!

Photo canvas handmade

Last week I FINALLY finished redecorating our landing and hallway. We recently had new ceilings put in and the walls plastered after our property was battered by storm damage way back in February 2014. After a lengthy insurance claim we were so pleased to have our landing back instead of a rather rustic bare brick ‘feature wall’. There were a few door frames and some skirting board that still needed painting and I had to force myself to complete this tedious task that I’ve painstakingly done throughout the house.

One of the final steps in finishing the landing was to hang some framed photos and art and I had been itching to do this for a very long time! I already had a couple of large photo frames filled with pictures that had designated spots, but there was a place missing that needed to be filled. As if by fate, Canvas Prince, a company specialising in hand made canvases, got in touch. I had a photo from a family trip to Center Parcs that I’d been waiting to frame and this seemed the perfect opportunity to have it turned into a canvas.

Canvas Prince, a Bournemouth based company, has been hand making canvases and personalised products for over 10 years. All of their products are handmade by craftsman using the highest quality materials and their canvases have a 75 year anti-fade guarantee. The company has a wonderful family feel and take great pride in their work, producing quality products that stand out from the usual crowd of budget personalised gifts.

The company treated me to one of their premium canvases, made using a high quality poly/cotton canvas, hand-stretch around solid 38mm stretcher bars, complete with a sweet ‘handmade’ tag on the back. The handmade quality really does surpass some of mass-produced methods you get with some of the larger canvas-making companies, and if you’re going to hang something on your wall for all to see, it needs to be something special.

Canvas Prince is currently offering 50% off their canvases over 16 x 12″ with the promo code SAVE50. Prices start from £8.99 for their standard range and from £24.99 for their premium range. If you fancy adding an extra-special focal point to a room, they also create stunning framed canvas prints that float it in the middle of a gallery style frame for an elegant designer finish.

Head on over to the website to take a look at their large range of wall art, mugs, phone and tablet cases, slate coasters and many other personalised products, not forgetting to take advantage of the 50% discount!
